Nushrratt Bharuccha is reportedly to undergo spine surgery in Mumbai after suffering a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali, according to a statement issued by her publicist.
Bharuccha, who had travelled to Bali for a work commitment and extended her stay for a few days, is currently hospitalised there and remains under medical observation. Her team said she will be brought back to Mumbai by air ambulance, where she will receive further treatment and undergo surgery.
The actor’s injury is expected to affect her upcoming professional commitments as she will require adequate rest and recovery following the procedure.
“We request everyone to respect her privacy at this time and allow her the space to focus on her treatment and recovery,” her publicist said in the statement, while thanking fans and well-wishers for their concern and support.
